Its the battle of the Fat Gastropubs! Which is your favorite?
The Fat Cow – The Grove
Gordon Ramsey’s new LA baby just opened at The Grove on October 1st. Not the most original menu with options like burgers, pizza, fish ‘n chips and mac ‘n cheese. However, we can be sure that anything Mr. Ramsey intends to be on our plates will be delicious. The location, which used to be inhabited by The Farm, has had its interior completely redone by AK Design Network. It’s quite the swanky place to meet and eat. We recommend the Fat Cow burger and the lobster mac ‘n cheese.
The Fat Dog - 801 N. Fairfax Ave
Sweet little gastropub right up the street on Fairfax Ave at Waring. Their selection of wines and beers is really nice and their short rib French dip sandwich is truly something to behold. Nice crispy fries and a casual atmosphere. Their patio is lovely at night and they are right next to two great specialty shops - Lindy and Grundy’s as well as Coffee Commissary. Their house made cocktails have clever canine-inspired names and their patio is dog friendly.
